So, to day was the day when our life was supposed to go back to normal, getting a second car so Anki can take the kids to school and nursery. We found a nice Toyota Auris for her last week, and agreed with the salesmen that we were going to pick it up today.
When I handed over the check to him and asked for the proof of registration in my name, he said that will come Mon or Tue, or...
Even in Sweden I wouldnt buy a car without signing the change of ownership papers, and handing over money for a car here without getting the appropriate documents feels like a non optimal thing to do, so I reached over the desk and took back my check and told him the deal is off. After trying to convince me for a few min, he went out to Anki to tell her this was fully ok and that it was a very nice car for her (he didnt realized Anki have been in sales herself a bit too long to buy that crap).
This means Monday we are back to the chaos of bringing kids to school and nursery, and me go to the office with only one car. In Sweden this would have been ok, but here you have to drive to leave the kids, and then again drive to pick them up when school finish around 13:00...

Swimming day!
These are different ways you can enjoy a pool on a warm day! Swim under the water or do the "waterbomb" - both works fine!
Swedish wife-mafia ( ;-) ) came by and Alexanders friend Joel joined the kids in the pool.
Still to do is shopping curtains, outdoor furniture and beds for Uffes parents coming down.

After one week in Johannesburg

Oliver did the test for school on Friday and passed, so on Wednesday is his vacation over! Yesterday we bought school uniform for him, will be a new dimension.
When we asked Oliver yesterday how long he thought we have been here, he said one month :-) It starts to feel like home, even though we are living like backpackers in a very empty house.
Hopefully our airfright will arrive on Friday, will make a huge difference to get some plates, glasses and clothes.
We (Anki) also made some new friends, on Tuesday we were invited to a Swedish couple that lives just 300m from our place, and on Friday we had dinner at another Swedish couples house (700m from our house). All in all there are around 30 Swedish families with kids in the estate we are in, and the kids have already made friends, what a start!!!
